Good times in Pa.

One of those quiet, not a ripple kind of days.

Seems to be a bumper crop of acorns this year. Riding the bike through a pile like this is something like riding through marbles I imagine. It certainly gets that heart racing

1765 Runners, both finished much better than the average in all the sub groups. Must have been the cheering section

Rode about 3 laps of Mines Falls today, clicked over 300 miles…. may take another 300 to work off that creamy rich birthday Cheesecake, topped with bavarian cream style pudding… so decadent… so good.

This trail may be too difficult for Mother? Those tree roots are brutal, and the drop off into the canal looks ominous.

A ground hog tried to trip me, a robin flew along with me for a few minutes, they seem to fly about10 mph, some fishes in the canal. The bike handles the rough sections pretty well, and there was some very narrow sections.

It was laying on one of the Benson Park bridges, sunning himself I suppose. Scooted away as soon as it saw me. Close to 3 feet long I would guess.

Penny's cousins are feasting

Managed to pick a few before the birds got them.

The backyard birds feasted on grasshoppers and large flying ants today, and then headed for the beach. I saw a couple birds flying strangely but then realized they were just picking flying ants out of the air. A couple have made a nest in the front eve, another thing to do once they leave the nest. Notice the flying mechanisms.

Grilled mushrooms, potatoes, peppers, onions with a secret sauce, not bad.

Perfect!

Some grilled peaches, onions, shrimp with some other stuff and a secret sauce. Not a bad meal.

There was initially a bit of a standoff, some growling and posturing, but eventually the Oranges figured out a way to share their favorite spot.

One should check for critters before throwing an old box into the recycling bin.

A Little Lettuce/Radish/Bean Experiment

I thought one of the cats was on the counter knocking things off, but found this on the front window. Thats about the fourth collision this year, dunno why the birds are not seeing the window… perhaps someone cleaned it? Looks like the bird flew away hopefully unharmed.

The kids seemed thrilled

The sad thing is that a split second after taking its picture it dropped off the edge of the roof. Feeling bad because the vibration of the camera shutter may have triggered the fall
