Rode about 3 laps of Mines Falls today, clicked over 300 miles…. may take another 300 to work off that creamy rich birthday Cheesecake, topped with bavarian cream style pudding… so decadent… so good.

25 Miles today at Good Pace
August 13 2015 :
25 Nashua River Trail miles this morning and for the first time I did not get passed, not by an elderly lady, 12 year old girl, or fit 25 somethings. I averaged 12 mph, but feel surprisingly good

Robin was Selected to Join the AΩA Honor Medical Society as a Junior, a Special Honor
August 11 2015 :
Membership into AOA is one of the highest honors a student is eligible for during medical school, as only a small fraction of a class is even eligible for this distinction. The Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society is a national honor society for medical students, residents, scientists, and physicians in the United States and Canada. Only the top medical students are elected, based on criteria such as grades, leadership, ethics, and so on. No more than one-sixth of a medical school's graduating class can be members of ΑΩΑ; most of these are elected as fourth-year students ("senior ΑΩΑ") although up to one-half of them may be elected as third-year students ("junior ΑΩΑ"). Membership in ΑΩΑ has become highly sought after, especially for those applying to competitive residencies (such as Radiation Oncology, Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Orthopaedics). In some of the top residency programs for the most competitive fields, membership may be a de facto requirement in order to obtain a spot. AOA is the best-recognized medical school award and usually assures at least an interview with any residency program in the US. See alphaomegaalpha.org for more info.

Rockingham Trail

This was the easy section but after the first mile or so became rough in many sections. I was too busy navigating between rocks to look at much scenery but saw a blue heron fishing in one of the ponds. The tunnels and some bridges were brutal as they have well worn wood floors (boards layed in the worst direction), and the bolts hang down from a very low ceiling (the helmet now has its first dent). I gave up at the third tunnel and turned around. Just not that much fun.
