Sometimes I record part of a rail trail ride. In the past I used a GoPro camera on a gyro mount attached to a vest. Worked well enough. The iPhone now has a video action mode that I wanted to try in this tough environment. The simple way is to mount the phone to the handle bar but it turns out I get way too much sway as I turn the bike to keep from falling over :). Next I’ll try attaching the phone to my vest. In the mean time, these are the results. Franklin was a large paper producer at the turn of the century, but the mills and most of the railroads have long closed. The small mill dams that were rebuilt after the floods of the 30s washed them out are now making hydro power.
