RIP Tom

We have been blessed with a connection to Tom’s music, since 1978 or so when I first heard him on the radio and picked up his first release. He had a way to put into words what we wanted to say, and then back it up with a great tune. Never seemed to have a bad tune filler in an album, always relevant. I’ve been lucky (even the losers get lucky sometime) to sit in the first few rows on occasion and Tom and Mike always seemed to be genuinely in touch with the audience, enjoying the feedback. It never seemed to be just a job to them.  Tom's glances, smiles, pick throwing, saying hi, sometimes signing autographs were feel good moments. He seemed to appreciate the fans and their enjoyment of his talent. I gave him a thumbs up once while he was playing a riff in front of me, and he said “you betcha" … something I will always remember….  A fine man/artist/performer we all know he was. The talent in those fingers….  amazing.  Gone too soon, my thoughts go out to his friends and family and all the fans.

Click here for a short sweet tribute that pretty much sums it up.
